McDonald’s Future History Maker Scholarship 2017

We are looking for high school seniors that have applied and been accepted to an institute of higher learning, because McDonald’s and 107.3 JAMZ have TWO $5,000 college scholarships to give away to attend the school of their choice!

 

Here’s how it works:

  • Eligible students can click to download this Future History Makers Scholarship Application 2017 and provide us with the necessary documentation, as outlined in this info packet (clicking the link may take you to a new blank tab and auto-download the file; check your download folder!)
  • Submit all materials to us by March 26, 2017 (must be hand-delivered or postmarked no later than March 26, 2017)
  • Two students will be chosen by our board of judges, based on the selection criteria**

To be eligible to apply you must meet ALL of the following requirements:

  • Must be a legal U.S. resident less than 21 years of age
  • Cumulative unweighted GPA of 3.0 (based on 4.0 scale) or higher at the time of application
  • Accepted to at least one accredited two- or four-year institution of higher learning in the Fall of 2017
  • Must be available to attend the awards luncheon the first week of May, 2017, in the Greenville, S.C., area in order to accept the scholarship award
  • Must be a currently-enrolled high school senior residing in one of the following counties in Georgia (Hart, Franklin, Elbert and Stephens counties), North Carolina (Avery, Buncombe, Cherokee, Clay, Haywood, Henderson, Jackson, Graham, Macon, Madison, McDowell, Mitchell, Polk, Rutherford, Swain, Transylvania and Yancey counties), or South Carolina (Abbeville, Anderson, Cherokee, Greenville, Greenwood, Laurens, Newberry, Oconee, Pickens, Spartanburg and Union counties.)

Application submission begins: March 1, 2017
Application submission ends: March 26, 2017 (must be postmarked no later than March 26, 2017)

**Selection Criteria:

  • Demonstrated leadership
  • Strong examples of community service
  • Written biographical essay content
  • Academic achievements and records
  • Financial need (need will be considered, but is not required)
