The Equal Opportunity Day Dinner is one of two signature fund-raising events that allow the Urban League of the Upstate to implement a five point empowerment agenda that focuses on closing the equality gaps that exist for minority communities in education, economic empowerment, quality of life, civic engagement, civil rights and racial justice. The Urban League of the Upstate is a non-profit organization whose unique and singular mission is to promote equal opportunity through economic empowerment. This agency envisions a community that reaps the full benefits of its diversity by ensuring that all citizens, regardless of race or socioeconomic status, have the tools to achieve their fullest potential. This year’s Equal Opportunity Day Dinner will be held on Thursday, June 6, 2013, at the Hyatt Regency Greenville, 220 North Main Street, Greenville, SC at 6:00 pm. Life Fellow and Mayor of the City of Columbia, Steve Benjamin, will be the guest speaker. For more information on the event or to purchase tickets please visit this website.
