Rappers MIKE and Earl Sweatshirt are joining forces with New York production collective Surf Gang for a major collaborative project, announcing a double album titled ‘POMPEII // UTILITY,’ along with a worldwide tour.
The 33-track release is scheduled to arrive April 3, and will showcase years of creative collaboration between the artists. The album is split into two sections: MIKE leads the first half, while Earl Sweatshirt takes over the second. Production across the project largely comes from Surf Gang members, including co-founders Harrison, Evilgiane and Eera.
Guest appearances will also appear throughout POMPEII // UTILITY, with the first half featuring contributions from Anysia Kym, Niontay, Jadasea and Na-Kel Smith; while the second half features Lerado Khalil. MIKE and Earl will also share verses on two songs.

Alongside the album announcement, the artists confirmed a joint trek called the Home on the Range Tour, which will begin April 24 in Mexico City at Foro Indie Rocks. The tour will travel across North America before continuing through the United Kingdom and Europe, with scheduled stops in cities including Los Angeles, New York, Dublin, Glasgow and Paris.
