Being a voice for business in Greenville has been the main priority of the Chamber since its formation more than 120 years ago. To be a voice of economic growth, leadership has to walk hand-in-hand with that directive and for almost 40 years growing and retaining leadership has been a key message. As the Vice President of Diversity and Inclusion for the Greenville Chamber, it is my desire to ensure that members of the Greenville minority community are aware of the wonderful leadership opportunities available through LEAD.
The LEAD Initiative is working to build a better Greenville. LEAD encompasses five programs, all designed to increase workforce and talent retention in Greenville by developing current and future leaders and by engaging Greenville residents in the community. LEAD Initiative Programs include:
Leadership Greenville Alumni
PULSE Young Professionals
Youth Leadership Greenville
Join me and other members of the Chamber's leadership team as we share more information about these programs, how to sign up or apply, the benefits of participating, and first-hand testimonials. Specifically, we will give great emphasis to upcoming Opportunity Greenville session taking place in October.

"My dream was that you would wake up in the morning, your alarm would go off, one of my records would be playing. You’d get in the shower and use my shampoo. Then you would get out and use the beauty products. You’d get dressed and put on Sean John [clothing], and then you would go to work. And after work, you would go and change into your evening wear to go out to a club or out on a date and you’d put on Sean John again, spray on another of my fragrances, stop by and have a drink of Ciroc. And then maybe take your young lady out to a movie that I was starring in."

Beloveds, when you start discovering a pattern of behavior that brings you anything other than peace, you have to change the pattern. To do so, we have to be willing to do two things: You've got to be willing to give up everything you believethat you need, and you've got to be willing to do the work to get along without it.
According to Star Magazine Mathew Knowles' mistress former Alexsandra Wright of 18 months has claimed that when she got pregnant with their son, he told her that he wanted to give their unborn child to Beyonce and Jay-Z to raise. Wright told Star Magazine, "My first thought when he asked me if I would give up our child to Beyonce and Jay-Z was, 'Are you out of your mind?' Nothing in the world, no amount of money would make me give up my child, you can't buy my child from me!"... Wright also revealed that when she rejected Mathew's request, he offered her money to leave his name off of the birth certificate -- which she rejected as well. She eventually filed a paternity suit agains him, which she won. Since then Mathew was ordered to pay $8200 a month in child support for the baby who's name is Nixon. Shortly after the news hit, Bey's mom filed for divorce and earlier this year, Beyonce dropped Mathew as her manager.
Alexandra added, "I don't believe that Beyonce or anybody else has a clue about what was flying out of Mathew's mouth. I don't think it was anybody but Mathew."
