Ms. Renee Brown is a middle school counselor at Mauldin Middle School. Ms. Brown has experience with students in public and private institutions and residential facilities with at risk students. Brown is a member of the Palmetto State Counseling Association, the Spartanburg Chapter of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, South Carolina Alliance of Black Educators. She also serves as Vice President of the Piedmont chapter of Morris College Alumni. Renee brown is the ministry leader of Christian Education and member of the Young Women’s Ministry at Mountainview Baptist Church. Ms. Brown was featured in the Upstate Parent Magazine and was recognized as one of the Top Ten educators in the Upstate in 2019. She has also received the Employee Spotlight from Greenville County Schools and was sponsored by Horace Mann. Renee Brown is the Founder of BLUSH. BLUSH is a female mentoring program in Greenville County, that focuses on helping young ladies improve in school, nurtures confidence and self-esteem, helps with problem solving, exploring career possibilities and meeting helpful people. Blushes taches young ladies to give back to their communities, build character, self-worth and self-love. Renee Brown goes above and beyond to better the lives of the youth in the community and that makes her a 107-3 JAMZ Upstate Black History Maker.
